Congratulations! You are seeking the Sacrament of Confirmation for your child, or even for yourself.
This is a great moment, and we at Blessed Sacrament Parish hope to assist you in preparing to celebrate this Sacrament beautifully and meaningfully.
Since the Bishop restored the order of the sacraments in 2017, children who recieved their First Reconciliation in 2nd grade will be Confirmed and recieve their First Communion together at the age of 8 or 3rd grade.
There is a close relationship between the sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation. While Confirmation is a distinct and complete sacrament in its own right, its purpose is to perfect in us that which was begun in Baptism. We might say—in a sense—that we are baptized in order to receive the Holy Spirit and all His Gifts and Charisms.
Adults seeking to recieve the sacrament of confirmation should refer to the page on RCIA. Or call the parish office for more information at 303-355-7361.
